Pine Mountain State Park

Are you looking for yet another mountain to hike? Well, look no further than Pine Mountain State Park located in Cartersville, GA. This trail is a nice hike for those looking for a day trip adventure. 

Coming in at around four and a half miles long, the West/East Loop trail at this state park is a great workout. The trail itself is well marked, low key steep, and heavily wooded. I will say that the terrain ranges from gravel to dirt to rocks so be careful with your footing. 

If you can make it past the elevation changes and humidity, you will find a great view of the city below. Make sure to pack your camera to capture the never ending blue skies and surrounding forest. There are also plenty of spots for sitting and taking a snack break or two along the path.

  I will say if you are new to hiking or wanting a more casual hike, I would recommend a different trail. This trail is known to be strenuous to most so it might seem difficult for those who are not as experienced. If you are ever in Cartersville, GA I would recommend you check out this state park!
