Dukes Creek Falls Trail

Ranking: Easy Pie (Distance: 1 ish miles)

Do you ever find yourself in the North Georgia Mountains looking for a short hike? Are you the type that wants to see a waterfall, without having to hike hard to see it? Well look no further than Dukes Creek Falls Trail located near Helen, Georgia. This short but pleasant trail is just what you have been looking for.

Out of all the trails I have hiked so far, this trail is a very quaint and easy hike. There isn't a drastic change in elevation, the trail is well marked, and there isn't much foot traffic. Oh, did I mention the waterfall? Well, actually there is more than one waiting for you at the end of this trail.

I will keep this post short in honor of this trail, go check it out! This trail is a nice option if you want quiet time away from the tourist traffic that is Helen. Another aspect that I enjoyed about this hike was that the tree line is thick, providing ample shade. So if you are hiking in the heat of Georgia summer, you can go in knowing you for the most part will be covered!

Whenever I have my yearly visit to Helen, I am planning on hiking this trail again since it is short, nice, and simple. If you happen to be in that area of North Georgia, be sure to check this little place out!
