Anna Ruby Falls Trail

Ranking: Easy Pie

Anna Ruby Falls will forever and always hold a place dear to my heart. I grew up visiting this park with my grandmother every year and can say that I still love it every time.

The hike itself is very short and sweet, similar to this post Iā€™m going to make about it. This little gem is located in the Chattahoochee National Forest in North Georgia. To get to the falls you have to go through Unicoi State Park. After parking and grabbing your gear, I would recommend going to the visitor center there. This is one of the coolest VCs I have ever seen. Like any VC, this one has the normal items such as souvenirs, bathrooms, and maps. However, unlike other visitor centers this one has a special hidden sitting area. If you are looking at the visitor center, walk straight through the two buildings. There is a patio area that is set up right next to the stream. You have the options to buy some fish food and if you're lucky, actually see some! It is a nice area to wait on your group or to enjoy the surroundings. Now enough about the entrance area, now about the trail itself.

The trail starts off to the left of the Visitor Center and is an easy trail to hike. Coming in under a mile, the trail is a nice walk for anyone interested in a very short hike to a beautiful waterfall. While we were hiking, we did see people with strollers going by, so the trail is pretty accessible. I would rate this trail one of my top favorites due to the waterfall and the visitor center- but I will let you decide!
