Savannah, GA

If you are looking for a coastal city with all the southern charm, then look no further than Savannah, GA. Located on the Atlantic east coast, Savannah is a historic town drenched in culture. From the houses to the cobblestone pavement, this city has enough beauty for all to see!

Like I mentioned before, Savannah is a coastal town which means there are plenty of land and sea options for all. For Art and History buffs some attractions such as Old Fort Jackson and the SCAD Art museum might be for you. If you are looking for some more action then there are options for canoeing and kayaking. This city also has plenty of parks downtown that are nice to explore after sharing a wonderful meal.

Speaking of food, let's talk about it. For foodies like me, you will not be disappointed with the variety of food options in this city! Savannah has a cuisine that is so mouthwatering that you might have a hard time deciding. From shrimp and grits to beignets at breakfast, there is something here for everyone. For me, since it isn't often that I am so close to the coast, I always go for the seafood. There are plenty of restaurant options to choose from so be sure to take your time and go walk around to find some!

Another thing that I wanted to mention is the nightlife in this town. There are so many bars and dance clubs in Savannah that it is refreshing. When we visited I would not have guessed that this historic town would have such a nightlife. There is a wide range of bar hopping and clubbing options so be sure to pregame and explore! (We went to several places after my friend's wedding, but not going to lie to you I cannot remember due to a foggy memory...)

One of my favorite things that this city has to offer is the abundance of tours that are available. There are fishing, walking, and even haunted carriage tours available! For me, I grew up watching ghost shows and listening to stories growing up so a haunted tour sounds right up my alley. There are also even options to stay in a "haunted," hotel! I've only been to Savannah twice in my life so far but I plan to go again someday for sure! My first visit was a drop by visit and the second was for my friend's wedding. I haven't had all the time to explore so stay tuned. Maybe I will have an updated post someday. All I know is that next time I visit I am going to stay in a haunted hotel and go on a riverboat tour!
